All non-urgent
telephone calls to the police should be routed through our
central switchboard number - 01473 613500. Your call will be
charged at local rate.
Minicom users should dial 01473 611160 (please note, this number
is for those with hearing difficulties).
In an emergency dial 999. You should dial
999 when life is threatened or people are injured, or of there is a
crime in progress or an immediate police response is
necessary.
It is better to be safe than
sorry.

relating to noise or abandoned
vehicles should be directed to the appropriate department
of your local district or
borough council.

Point 10 of the National Policing
Pledge for England and Wales states: 'We
will acknowledge any dissatisfaction
with the service you have received within 24 hours of reporting it
to us. To help us fully resolve the matter, discuss with you how it
will be handled, give you an opportunity to talk in person to
someone about your concerns and agree with you what will be done
about them and how quickly'.
