The Mobile operating base aims to
increase access to a range of services by providing a highly
visible police presence in rural and urban communities in the
county.
The mobile police station covers
the Suffolk Coastal area from Walberswick to Felixstowe.
Uniformed Safer Neighbourhood
Team police officers and community support officers use the Mobile
Police Station as a base to patrol, either on bikes or on foot, and
it is also used as a central point where people can obtain more
information, report crime and get advice on issues of
concern.
The mobile base contains most of
the information you can find at your local police station, and the
feedback from the local community has been really
positive.
It has a television and DVD
player so that you can watch information-based programmes, and it
has many of the things you would expect, such as crime prevention
displays and literature. 
It is also equipped with the
technology to help with a wide range of queries including internet
and email, and we can deal with lost property.
Members of the public visiting the mobile police station can also
get their mobile phones and bycycles postcoded free of
charge.
In addition, a Speed Indicator Device is also part
of the Tools kept onboard helping with Data on speeding Vehicles
through Villages and towns, which in turn assists Police officers
with speed.
