Re-advertisement Recruitment of Assistant Chief Constable

We want to appoint an additional Assistant Chief Constable who believes passionately in delivering the best possible service to our local and diverse communities within Suffolk. We want our new Assistant Chief Constable to share our pride in keeping Suffolk safe and to make a measurable difference to public confidence. We want someone who has the ability to further develop our customer service ethos and secure improved delivery against a backdrop of reducing resources.

The successful candidate will be an energetic, innovative and committed individual with a track record of successfully initiating and leading change to achieve improved performance. The ability to work collaboratively with community safety, criminal justice and other policing partners for the good of Suffolk people will be vital.

The salary range will be £88,470 - £103,218 plus expenses and allowances. The closing date for receipt of completed applications is Monday, 23 August 2010 with selection likely to take place towards the end of September.
