The Ipswich Central SNT are reminding drivers that Lloyds Avenue in the town centre has no access for cars and motorbikes between 9.30am-4.30pm Monday to Saturday except for taxis and loading by lorries.

Ipswich Central SNT Sgt Ashley Warby says, “This policy is clearly signposted, but from feed back we have received from taxi drivers working from Lloyds Avenue; as well as our own observations, it is evident that these traffic directions are not being complied with by road users. This causes disruption to taxi drivers and obstructs legitimate use of the rank for their business.”

Officers from Ipswich Central SNT will be conducting patrols of the area and will be dealing robustly with offending drivers by way of £30 fixed penalty notices.
