The six Police Forces and Police Authorities from
the Eastern Region have published their Collaboration Strategy to
cover 2009-12.
The document details the overarching strategy to
deliver collaboration and joint working between the police forces
and authorities within the Eastern Region. The Strategy outlines
what can be achieved through collaboration and how we have agreed
to work together in order to improve the services we are able to
deliver to our communities.
We will build on the progress already made in
realising efficiencies and improving the resilience and
responsiveness of frontline services, particularly those focused on
tackling major, serious and organised crime. At a time when all
public services are expected to deliver more with less
collaboration provides a significant opportunity to drive
efficiencies within support services and to build operational
capacity and capability.
The Strategy is an important milestone in the
development of joint working across the Eastern Region and outlines
a collaborative programme which comprises of a rich mix of
initiatives which will enable us to modernise and improve a range
of operational and support services.
