Suffolk Police are anxious to trace a man they want to interview in connection with the events surrounding the death of Great Cornard man, Karl Morris.

Mr Morris, aged 23, of Abbas Walk, Great Cornard, died from head injuries after a fight in the car park outside the Queens Arms pub in Great Cornard, Sudbury, on the evening of Friday, April 2, 1999. Police are treating the death as murder.

At the time, police stated they were anxious to trace a local man, who was in the car park at the time of the incident and may have vital information.

He is Stephen MACKAY, a 31-year-old (born 11.11.70) whose last known address was Eldred Drive, Great Cornard.

He is a white male, 6ft 3ins tall (1.9 metres), well built, with short light brown hair.

Detective Sergeant Stuart McCallum said:
"We know Mr MACKAY was present at the time of the fight and we need to speak to him as a matter of urgency."

"I would appeal for Mr MACKAY to contact us himself or for anyone with any knowledge of his whereabouts to call the police."
